Connie Parsons And Michael Ryan Appointed To Adventures In Learning’s Board Of Directors

Adventures in Learning’s Board of Directors is proud to announce the appointments of Manhasset residents, Connie Parsons and Michael Ryan, to its Board.  They replace Board Members Bill Ross and Ramon Parsons, whose terms just ended.

Adventures’ Executive Director, Diana Holden, saluted their appointments, stating, “First of all, I wish to recognize and to thank Bill Ross and Ramon Parsons, both long time supporters, for their tremendous Board work and contributions to Adventures.  And now I welcome both Connie Parsons and Michael Ryan, who are also at the forefront of community leadership. I am so grateful that they have joined our Board and look forward to working with them.”
   
Connie Parsons graduated from Barnard College, received a Law Degree from Hofstra University Law School, and is a member of the New York Bar Association.  An active Manhasset community resident, she is a member of both the Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church and the Manhasset Congregational Church.  Mrs. Parsons is employed by Pappas Realty in Astoria, as well. She resides with her family in Munsey Park. 

About her Board appointment, Mrs. Parsons remarked that “Adventures is a wonderful organization and I am so happy to be a part of it.” 

Michael Ryan moved to Manhasset nearly 10 years ago with his family.   He is a member of the Congregational Church and an active golf, tennis and platform tennis player.  Mr. Ryan is a steadfast volunteer for RBC's Race for the Kids and Youth INC.  He works in Capital Markets for the Royal Bank of Canada.  

Expressing his enthusiasm about the Adventures board appointment, he said, “I love the Manhasset community, and all I can say is that I am both thrilled and honored to be invited to serve on the board of such an exceptional organization as Adventures in Learning.” 

Founded 45 years ago in 1969 by the Congregational Church in Manhasset, Adventures in Learning is an after-school education and enrichment program, located in the Hagedorn Community Center at the Manhasset/Great Neck EOC building at 65 High Street, Manhasset, dedicated to improving the lives of children in Manhasset and Great Neck in need of after school care and instruction.
